State Government Urges Citizens Not to Believe Rumours of Fuel Shortage

Raipur, April 24, 2026/

The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department has clarified that Chhattisgarh has sufficient stock of petrol and diesel, and fuel supply across the state remains completely normal. The department stated that there is no shortage of any kind.

In view of the evolving situation in West Asia, the state government is continuously in touch with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, to ensure the uninterrupted availability of fuel for the state.

Officials of the department said that adequate reserves of LPG, petrol and diesel are available in Chhattisgarh. Weekly supply reviews are being conducted to ensure consumers do not face any inconvenience. Citizens have been appealed to ignore rumours and rely only on official information.

Across the state, all 2,516 petrol pumps and depots of the three major oil companies have sufficient petrol and diesel stock. In March 2026, against the monthly petrol requirement of 1.01 lakh kilolitres, the state received 1.27 lakh kilolitres, equal to a 126 per cent supply. In April 2026, till April 23, the state has already received 1.60 lakh kilolitres of petrol.

Similarly, in March, against the diesel demand of 1.64 lakh kilolitres, the state received 3.00 lakh kilolitres, or 183 per cent supply. In April 2026, till April 23, 1.38 lakh kilolitres of diesel have already been supplied. This indicates that fuel supply is being maintained in line with demand.

Officials said surprise inspections and enforcement drives are continuing in all districts to prevent hoarding and black marketing. Control rooms have been set up from the state level to the district level for monitoring the situation. The departmental helpline at 1800-233-3663 is also actively operational for public complaints and assistance.

On April 23, 2026, a review meeting was chaired by the Director of the Food Department with representatives of all three oil companies. During the meeting, it was observed that some industrial consumers were purchasing diesel from retail outlets, creating temporary pressure in some areas. Companies have been instructed to ensure supply according to demand.

As per the latest position, the state currently has around 77,111 kilolitres of petrol, sufficient for nearly 22 days of consumption. Likewise, 84,295 kilolitres of diesel are available, enough to meet demand for around 15 days.

The Chhattisgarh Government has once again assured citizens that adequate petrol and diesel stocks are available in the state and that fuel supply remains fully normal.

रायपुर 24 अप्रैल 2026/ प्रदेश में पड़ रही भीषण गर्मी और लू के बढ़ते प्रभाव को गंभीरता से लेते हुए मुख्यमंत्री श्री विष्णुदेव साय ने बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य एवं सुरक्षा को सर्वोपरि मानते हुए त्वरित एवं संवेदनशील निर्णय लिया है।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय के निर्देशानुसार 30 जून 2026 तक प्रदेश के सभी आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र प्रतिदिन प्रातः 7:00 बजे से 11:00 बजे तक संचालित किए जाएंगे। इस अवधि में बच्चों की उपस्थिति केवल सुबह 7:00 बजे से 9:00 बजे तक निर्धारित की गई है, ताकि उन्हें अत्यधिक तापमान एवं लू के दुष्प्रभाव से सुरक्षित रखा जा सके।

मुख्यमंत्री ने स्पष्ट किया है कि इस अवधि में बच्चों की प्रारंभिक बाल्यावस्था देखरेख, शाला पूर्व अनौपचारिक शिक्षा (ECCE) गतिविधियाँ निर्धारित समय-सारिणी एवं कलेण्डर के अनुसार संचालित होंगी तथा पूरक पोषण आहार का वितरण नियमित रूप से सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा, जिससे बच्चों के पोषण एवं शिक्षा में किसी प्रकार की बाधा न आए।

निर्देशानुसार आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र प्रातः 7:00 बजे से प्रारंभ होंगे, जिसमें बच्चों की उपस्थिति 7:00 से 9:00 बजे तक रहेगी, जबकि अन्य सेवाओं के लिए केंद्र 11:00 बजे तक संचालित रहेगा। इस दौरान आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ता एवं सहायिकाएं अपने जॉब चार्ट के अनुसार शेष कार्यों का निष्पादन करेंगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने यह भी निर्देश दिए हैं कि गृहभेंट के माध्यम से पोषण परामर्श सेवा को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाया जाए। इसके लिए आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ता केंद्र बंद होने के पश्चात निर्धारित प्रक्रिया के अनुसार घर-घर जाकर माताओं को जागरूक करेंगी।

बच्चों की सुरक्षा को लेकर सख्त निर्देश देते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा है कि गर्म हवाओं, अधिक तापमान एवं लू की स्थिति में बच्चों को सुरक्षित रूप से घर तक पहुंचाना सुनिश्चित किया जाए। किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही की स्थिति में संबंधितों की जवाबदेही तय की जाएगी।

महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री श्रीमती लक्ष्मी राजवाड़े द्वारा सभी जिला अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया गया है कि वे इन व्यवस्थाओं की सतत निगरानी सुनिश्चित करें तथा जिला स्तरीय समीक्षा बैठकों में नियमित रूप से प्रगति की समीक्षा करें, ताकि जमीनी स्तर पर निर्देशों का प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन सुनिश्चित हो सके। उन्होंने कहा कि ग्रीष्मकाल समाप्ति उपरांत 01 जुलाई 2026 से आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र पुनः अपने सामान्य समय प्रातः 9:30 बजे से 3:30 बजे तक (6 घंटे) संचालित किए जाएंगे।

Keeping in view possible disruption in imported fertiliser supplies due to the ongoing tensions involving the United States, Israel and Iran in West Asia, the Chhattisgarh Government has prepared a comprehensive strategy to ensure uninterrupted fertiliser availability for farmers during the upcoming Kharif season.

With the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Central Government has set a target of 15.55 lakh metric tonnes of fertiliser for Chhattisgarh for Kharif 2026. This includes 7.25 lakh metric tonnes of urea, 3 lakh metric tonnes of DAP, 2.5 lakh metric tonnes of NPK, 2 lakh metric tonnes of SSP and 80,000 metric tonnes of MOP.

At present, around 7.48 lakh metric tonnes of fertilisers are already available in warehouses and cooperative societies across the state. The government said every registered farmer will receive adequate fertiliser in a timely and transparent manner.

Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam stated that as of March 30, total fertiliser stock in the state stood at 7.48 lakh metric tonnes. This includes 2,43,717 metric tonnes of urea, 1,05,631 metric tonnes of DAP, 1,69,109 metric tonnes of NPK, 50,431 metric tonnes of MOP, and 1,78,657 metric tonnes of SSP.

The Minister added that, in view of the possible shortage of chemical fertilisers due to the situation in West Asia, farmers are being encouraged to adopt alternative nutrient options. The availability of NPK 12:32:16, NPK 20:20:0:13, green manure, organic manure, and nano fertilisers is being expanded across the state.

He further said the state government has issued directions for the formation of district-level flying squads and monitoring committees to prevent black marketing and hoarding of fertilisers. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found to be involved in irregularities.

Agriculture Production Commissioner Smt Shahla Nigar chaired a review meeting with officials of Raipur and Durg divisions regarding preparations for Kharif 2026. She instructed officials to complete farmer registrations on the Agristack portal through the PM-Kisan database at the earliest.

Officials were also directed to implement the new e-distribution system for seed and fertiliser supply. Farmers are being encouraged to use green manure, bio-fertilisers and blue-green algae as sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilisers.

She also ordered strict enforcement in districts to stop hoarding, diversion and black marketing of fertilisers. Under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (Price Support Scheme), procurement of pulses and oilseed crops has also been prioritised.

Further directions were issued to promote aromatic paddy varieties in every district, while expanding cultivation of pulses, oilseeds and horticulture crops such as oil palm, makhana and spices.

Public Relations Commissioner Shri Rajat Bansal, while chairing a meeting at the Samvad office in Nava Raipur, stressed that PROs must be proficient in all forms of new-age media. Adapting to evolving technology and communication platforms, he said, is key to effective public outreach.

He underscored that public relations is a high-responsibility role that must be handled with utmost seriousness. As a bridge between the government and the public, PROs carry greater accountability. He added that every officer’s performance will be assessed strictly on outcomes.

Shri Bansal directed officers to maintain regular coordination with ministers, departmental secretaries, heads of departments, and district collectors to ensure timely and effective information flow—critical for implementation and publicity of government schemes.

Reviewing preparations for the state-wide Sushaan Tihar -good governance festival starting May 1st, he instructed maximum use of print, electronic, and social media to widely promote welfare schemes. Every platform, he said, must be leveraged to expand reach.

He emphasized sharing real beneficiary experiences through videos and news stories to boost public awareness and participation. Continuous coordination with all media platforms was also mandated to ensure effective dissemination of government achievements.

Calling for proactive and responsible functioning, he warned against negligence and ordered disciplinary action against PROs in three districts for lapses in publicity work.

Senior officials, including Additional Directors Shri Umesh Mishra, Shri Sanjeev Tiwari, Shri Alok Dev, and Smt. Harsha Pauranik, along with officers from the Directorate, along with district public relations officers from various districts, attended the meeting.

On the event of Natioanl Panchayati Raj Day Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the double-engine government is strengthening Panchayati Raj institutions to reinforce the foundation of a developed India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a new chapter of holistic rural development is being written nationwide. He was addressing the Panchayat Officers’ Conference held on Friday at DDU Auditorium in Raipur.

“Village development depends on the active role of Panchayat representatives, ensuring government schemes reach the last person,” said Shri Sai.

Sharing his journey, Chief Minister Shri Sai said he began his political career as a Panchayat representative, serving as a Panch and Sarpanch. He noted that grassroots experience in village development shapes effective leadership, with many public representatives rising from Panchayats to higher legislative bodies. Panchayats play a vital role in making villages clean, healthy, and beautiful, and that strong grassroots work leads to effective policymaking.

Highlighting key initiatives, he said under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, rural households are receiving permanent houses, while the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has significantly improved village connectivity. Through Atal Digital Service Centres, services like banking, electricity bill payments, pensions, and insurance have become easily accessible, accelerating the rural economy. Construction of Mahatari Sadan for women is underway, with several already completed and benefiting women directly.

He urged Panchayat representatives to ensure regular monitoring of all activities for quality and timely completion of development works. Under Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0, the target is to provide clean drinking water to every household, where Panchayats have a crucial responsibility in ensuring timely implementation.

Referring to Sushasan Tihar, the Chief Minister said special camps will be organized to resolve public grievances. He called upon representatives to actively identify and address local issues through the initiative. Under the Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana, pending electricity bills can be cleared with full waiver of surcharge and additional concessions, and he urged representatives to maximize its benefits for villagers.

He assured that the state government will provide all necessary resources to strengthen panchayats and appealed to representatives to work proactively in their respective areas.

Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma said the double-engine government is committed to delivering benefits of government schemes to the last person, in line with the vision of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. He said Panchayats are being financially empowered with continuous approvals for development works, and representatives are effectively fulfilling both developmental and social responsibilities.

रायपुर, 24 अप्रैल 2026/ खाद्य, नागरिक आपूर्ति एवं उपभोक्ता संरक्षण विभाग ने कहा है कि प्रदेश में पेट्रोल एवं डीजल की पर्याप्त स्टॉक उपलब्ध होने के साथ ही आपूर्ति पूरी तरह सामान्य है। किसी प्रकार की कमी की स्थिति नहीं है। गौरतलब है कि पश्चिम एशिया में उत्पन्न परिस्थितियों के मद्देनज़र राज्य सरकार लगातार भारत सरकार के पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय के संपर्क में है, ताकि प्रदेश की ईंधन आवश्यकताओं की निर्बाध पूर्ति सुनिश्चित की जा सके।
खाद्य विभाग के अधिकारियों ने बताया कि राज्य में एलपीजी, पेट्रोल और डीजल का पर्याप्त भंडार उपलब्ध है। आपूर्ति की साप्ताहिक समीक्षा नियमित रूप से की जा रही है, जिससे आम उपभोक्ताओं को किसी प्रकार की परेशानी न हो। शासन ने नागरिकों से अपील की है कि वे किसी भी प्रकार की अफवाहों पर ध्यान न दें।

प्रदेश में संचालित 2516 पेट्रोल पंपों तथा तीनों प्रमुख ऑयल कंपनियों के डिपो में पर्याप्त मात्रा में पेट्रोल एवं डीजल उपलब्ध है। मार्च 2026 में प्रदेश की मासिक पेट्रोल आवश्यकता 1.01 लाख किलोलीटर के विरुद्ध 1.27 लाख किलोलीटर (126 प्रतिशत) की आपूर्ति की गई। वहीं अप्रैल 2026 में 23 अप्रैल तक 1.60 लाख किलोलीटर पेट्रोल प्राप्त हो चुका है।
इसी प्रकार मार्च में डीजल की आवश्यकता 1.64 लाख किलोलीटर के मुकाबले 3.00 लाख किलोलीटर (183 प्रतिशत) आपूर्ति हुई, जबकि अप्रैल 2026 में 23 अप्रैल तक 1.38 लाख किलोलीटर डीजल की आपूर्ति हो चुकी है। स्पष्ट है कि प्रदेश में मांग के अनुरूप आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित की जा रही है।
अधिकारियों ने कहा कि जमाखोरी और कालाबाजारी पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए सभी जिलों में आकस्मिक निरीक्षण एवं छापेमारी की कार्रवाई जारी है। राज्य स्तर से लेकर जिला स्तर तक नियंत्रण कक्ष स्थापित किए गए हैं। आम नागरिकों की शिकायतों के निवारण के लिए विभागीय कॉल सेंटर (1800-233-3663) भी सक्रिय रूप से कार्यरत है।
23 अप्रैल 2026 को खाद्य विभाग के संचालक की अध्यक्षता में तीनों ऑयल कंपनियों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ समीक्षा बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक में यह सामने आया कि कुछ औद्योगिक उपभोक्ता रिटेल आउटलेट से डीजल खरीद रहे हैं, जिससे अस्थायी दबाव की स्थिति बनती है। इस पर कंपनियों को निर्देशित किया गया है कि वे मांग के अनुरूप आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करें।
वर्तमान स्थिति के अनुसार, प्रदेश में लगभग 77,111 किलोलीटर पेट्रोल उपलब्ध है, जो लगभग 22 दिनों की आवश्यकता के बराबर है। इसी प्रकार 84,295 किलोलीटर डीजल उपलब्ध है, जो करीब 15 दिनों की खपत के लिए पर्याप्त है। सरकार ने पुनः आश्वस्त किया है कि प्रदेश में पेट्रोल और डीजल का पर्याप्त स्टॉक मौजूद है तथा आपूर्ति पूरी तरह सामान्य बनी हुई है।

रायपुर 24 अप्रैल 2026/डबल इंजन की हमारी सरकार पंचायती राज संस्थाओं को सशक्त बनाकर विकसित भारत की नींव को मजबूत कर रही है। प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में देशभर में गांवों के समग्र विकास का नया अध्याय लिखा जा रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री श्री विष्णु देव साय ने आज राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस के अवसर पर राजधानी रायपुर के डीडीयू ऑडिटोरियम में आयोजित पंचायत पदाधिकारी सम्मेलन में कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए यह बात कही।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों की सक्रियता से ही गांवों का विकास होगा और अंतिम पंक्ति के व्यक्ति तक शासन की योजनाओं का लाभ पहुंचेगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रदेशवासियों और पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों को राष्ट्रीय पंचायती राज दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दीं।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि उन्होंने अपने राजनीतिक जीवन की शुरुआत पंचायत प्रतिनिधि के रूप में की थी तथा पंच और सरपंच के दायित्व का निर्वहन किया। मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि पंचायत प्रतिनिधि के रूप में गांव के विकास को लेकर जो अनुभव प्राप्त होते हैं, वही आगे बढ़ने में सहायक होते हैं। आज हजारों जनप्रतिनिधि पंचायत से अपना सफर शुरू कर देश के उच्च सदनों तक पहुंचे हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गांवों को स्वच्छ, स्वस्थ और सुंदर बनाने में पंचायतों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है और जमीनी स्तर पर बेहतर कार्य करने से ही प्रभावी नीतियां बनती हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के तहत अब ग्रामीणों को पक्के मकान मिल रहे हैं, साथ ही प्रधानमंत्री ग्राम सड़क योजना से गांवों की कनेक्टिविटी में उल्लेखनीय सुधार हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि अटल डिजिटल सेवा केंद्रों के माध्यम से बैंकिंग, बिजली बिल भुगतान, पेंशन और बीमा जैसी सेवाएं अब ग्रामीणों के लिए सहज हो गई हैं, जिससे ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था में तेजी आई है। महिलाओं के लिए महतारी सदन का निर्माण किया जा रहा है, जिनमें से कई पूर्ण हो चुके हैं और इनसे महिलाओं को सीधा लाभ मिल रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों से कहा कि पंचायतों में संचालित सभी गतिविधियों की नियमित निगरानी सुनिश्चित करें, ताकि गुणवत्ता और समयबद्धता के साथ सभी विकास कार्य पूर्ण हो सकें। उन्होंने बताया कि जल जीवन मिशन 2.0 के अंतर्गत हर घर तक स्वच्छ पेयजल पहुंचाने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है, जिसके सफल क्रियान्वयन में पंचायतों की जिम्मेदारी बड़ी है और इसे समयबद्ध रूप से पूरा करने में पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों को अपनी सक्रिय भूमिका निभानी होगी।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने सुशासन तिहार के आयोजन का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि इसके माध्यम से आमजनों की समस्याओं के समाधान के लिए शिविर लगाए जाएंगे। उन्होंने पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों से सुशासन तिहार के आयोजन और इसके माध्यम से अपने क्षेत्र की समस्याओं की पहचान कर उनके समाधान में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री बिजली बिल समाधान योजना के तहत लंबित बिजली बिलों के भुगतान के लिए विशेष अवसर प्रदान किया जा रहा है, जिसमें सरचार्ज पूरी तरह माफ किया गया है और अतिरिक्त रियायत का भी प्रावधान है। श्री साय ने प्रतिनिधियों से इसका लाभ अधिक से अधिक ग्रामीणों को दिलाने की बात कही।
