Chief Minister inaugurated three major sports infrastructures in Jashpur — a Multipurpose Indoor Basketball Stadium, a Cricket Academy and a Climbing Wall Stadium — and witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at providing structured training and professional support to athletes. The initiatives are expected to create a comprehensive sports ecosystem in the district and promote grassroots talent.

The Multipurpose Indoor Basketball Stadium worth Rs 3.52 crore has been developed as a modern all-weather facility with for practising basketball, as well as chess, carom and table tennis. The stadium is equipped with wooden flooring, seating arrangements and provision for multiple indoor sports.

The Cricket Academy has been established to nurture emerging players through structured coaching. To promote cricket in Jashpur, an MoU has also been signed between Municipal Council and Green Cricket Jashpur to enable local players to receive structured training and improved resources.

The Climbing Wall Stadium for indoor sports worth Rs 27 lakh in Jashpur. It introduces a specialized adventure sports facility with an artificial climbing wall designed to national training standards. The infrastructure is expected to promote sport climbing among youth, encourage participation in emerging sports disciplines and host training camps as well as competitions.

With support from the district administration and Deshdekha Sports Climbing Group, 15 players from Jashpur are being trained in mountaineering by five master trainers. Trainer Shri Ravi Kumar Singh, certified by the Professional Climbing Guide Institute, USA, said modern, safe training is being conducted at the indoor stadium, with technical support from Shri Tejal Bhagat, Shri Rusnath Bhagat, Shri Sachin Kujur, and Shri Prateek Nayak.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said, “Developing diverse dimensions of sports and connecting youth with new opportunities is a priority of the state government, and adventure sports help build confidence, courage and discipline among young people.”

The programme was attended by Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Shri Rampratap Singh, District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Municipal Council President Shri Arvind Bhagat, Shri Krishna Rai, Municipal Vice President Shri Yash Pratap Singh Judev, District Panchayat President Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Janpad Panchayat President Shri Gangaram Bhagat, Shri Vijay Aditya Singh Judev, Surguja Commissioner Shri Narendra Dugga, IG Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, District Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Lal Umed Singh, DFO Shri Shashi Kumar, District Panchayat CEO Shri Abhishek Kumar, along with players and coaches were present.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inspected the under-construction Jagdev Ram Uraon Kalyan Ashram Hospital in Jashpur on March 28. During the visit, he expressed satisfaction over the pace of work and adherence to prescribed standards.

The Chief Minister stated that once completed, the hospital will serve as a “lifeline for the people of the region,” ensuring access to quality medical services and the availability of specialist doctors closer to home.

This modern hospital is being constructed with financial support from the CSR fund of NTPC Limited (Lara unit) at an estimated cost of approximately Rs. 35.53 crore. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the project on April 7, 2025, and the construction work is progressing rapidly. Out of the proposed six-storey structure, slab work up to four floors, including the ground floor, has already been completed.

The hospital has been planned with a structured layout to ensure efficient service delivery. The ground floor will house emergency services; the first floor will accommodate OPD facilities; the second and third floors will have patient wards; the fourth floor will include ICU units; and the fifth floor will be dedicated to operation theatres. The facility will be equipped with “advanced medical infrastructure and modern treatment systems.”

The 100-bed hospital will provide comprehensive healthcare services, including 15 OPDs, four ICUs, four operation theatres, physiotherapy, pathology laboratory, CT scan, dialysis, X-ray, emergency ward, MRI, ECG, and other essential medical services.

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि इन प्रतिभाशाली बालिकाओं ने अपने उत्कृष्ट खेल प्रदर्शन से न केवल जिले, बल्कि पूरे प्रदेश का नाम राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर गौरवान्वित किया है। उन्होंने छात्राओं को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए कहा कि अनुशासन, समर्पण और निरंतर अभ्यास के बल पर वे भविष्य में और भी बड़ी उपलब्धियाँ हासिल करेंगी तथा देश का नाम रोशन करेंगी।

उल्लेखनीय है कि जशपुर के इचकेला स्थित शासकीय प्री-मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास की बालिकाएँ क्रिकेट के क्षेत्र में लगातार उल्लेखनीय प्रदर्शन कर रही हैं। वर्तमान में इस समूह की 17 बालिकाएँ अंडर-17 एवं अंडर-19 वर्ग में राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिताओं में छत्तीसगढ़ टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रही हैं, जबकि लगभग 40 खिलाड़ी नियमित रूप से क्रिकेट का अभ्यास कर रही हैं। वर्ष 2025 में सरगुजा संभाग ने 25 वर्षों के अंतराल के बाद अंडर-17 राज्य स्तरीय क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक हासिल कर इतिहास रचा, जिसमें विजेता टीम के 11 में से 9 खिलाड़ी इचकेला एमसीसी से थीं। इसी प्रकार अंडर-19 वर्ग में सरगुजा संभाग ने रजत पदक अर्जित किया, जिसमें 11 में से 8 खिलाड़ी इचकेला एमसीसी से शामिल थीं।

इसके अतिरिक्त रायगढ़ में आयोजित इंटर-स्टेट क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट 2025 में भी इचकेला एमसीसी की बालिकाओं ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। अब तक इस समूह की 11 खिलाड़ी राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेकर जिले और राज्य का प्रतिनिधित्व कर चुकी हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने इन उपलब्धियों के लिए खिलाड़ियों के साथ-साथ उनके प्रशिक्षकों श्री संतोष शंकर सोनी और श्रीमती पंडरी बाई के समर्पण और मार्गदर्शन की भी सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि सीमित संसाधनों के बावजूद ग्रामीण क्षेत्र की बालिकाओं को राष्ट्रीय स्तर तक पहुँचाना एक प्रेरणादायक उदाहरण है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार खेल प्रतिभाओं को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों से निकल रही ऐसी प्रतिभाओं को हर संभव प्रोत्साहन और सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी, ताकि छत्तीसगढ़ खेलों के क्षेत्र में नई ऊंचाइयों को छू सके।

खेलो इंडिया ट्राइबल गेम्स–2026 के अंतर्गत चौथे दिन सरगुजा जिले के अंबिकापुर स्थित गांधी स्टेडियम में कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता का शानदार शुभारंभ हुआ। प्रतियोगिता में देश के 30 राज्यों से आए 144 खिलाड़ी भाग ले रहे हैं, जिससे आयोजन में राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतिस्पर्धा का माहौल देखने को मिल रहा है।
पहले दिन ही रोमांचक मुकाबले
प्रतियोगिता के पहले दिन विभिन्न भार वर्गों में खिलाड़ियों के बीच बेहद रोमांचक मुकाबले हुए। युवा पहलवानों ने अपनी उत्कृष्ट तकनीक, ताकत और रणनीति का प्रभावशाली प्रदर्शन करते हुए दर्शकों को रोमांचित कर दिया।

पुरुष फ्रीस्टाइल वर्ग में कड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा

पुरुष फ्रीस्टाइल सीनियर 74 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में जम्मू-कश्मीर के मुनैर हुसैन एवं महाराष्ट्र के विक्रम साहेबराव पवार ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए फाइनल में स्थान सुनिश्चित किया।
इसी प्रकार 125 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में तेलंगाना के बनोथ विनोदकुमार एवं महाराष्ट्र के विनोद यशवंत सलकार ने जीत दर्ज कर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया।

ग्रीको-रोमन वर्ग के मुकाबले
ग्रीको-रोमन सीनियर 67 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में गुजरात के वसावा मुकेशभाई एवं झारखंड के अंजीतकर मुंडा फाइनल में आमने-सामने होंगे।

वहीं 97 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में हिमाचल प्रदेश के नवीश कुमार एवं जम्मू-कश्मीर के शमा हुन के बीच फाइनल मुकाबला खेला जाएगा।

महिला वर्ग में भी दमदार प्रदर्शन

महिला सीनियर 50 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में झारखंड की पूनम ओरांव एवं तेलंगाना की के. गीता ने फाइनल में जगह बनाई।
वहीं 62 किलोग्राम भारवर्ग में असम की देबी दैमारी एवं हिमाचल प्रदेश की प्रियंका चौधरी के बीच फाइनल मुकाबला होगा।
कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता के पहले दिन खिलाड़ियों के उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन ने आगामी मुकाबलों के लिए उत्साह और प्रतिस्पर्धा को और अधिक बढ़ा दिया है।

छत्तीसगढ़ शासन के खेल एवं युवा कल्याण विभाग की संचालक श्रीमती तनुजा सलाम ने आज अम्बिकापुर स्थित गांधी स्टेडियम में आयोजित होने वाले खेलों इंडिया ट्राइबल गेम्स 2026 की तैयारियों का निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने विशेष रूप से रेसलिंग (कुश्ती) चैंपियनशिप के आयोजन स्थल का जायजा लिया और तकनीकी टीम के साथ बैठक कर आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश प्रदान किए।

व्यवस्थाओं का निरीक्षण

निरीक्षण के दौरान संचालक श्रीमती सलाम ने गांधी स्टेडियम में तैयार किए गए अभ्यास स्थल, मुख्य प्रतियोगिता स्थल, भोजन व्यवस्था तथा मेडिकल यूनिट का अवलोकन किया। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने खिलाड़ियों के ठहरने के लिए चिन्हित ग्रैंड बसंत और होटल मयूरा का भी दौरा किया। उन्होंने आवास स्थलों पर स्वच्छता, सुरक्षा एवं अन्य मूलभूत सुविधाओं को उच्च गुणवत्ता के साथ बनाए रखने के निर्देश दिए।

प्रतिभागियों से संवाद

श्रीमती सलाम ने विभिन्न राज्यों से आए प्रतिभागियों से सीधे संवाद कर खेल सुविधाओं, आवास एवं भोजन की गुणवत्ता के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त की। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया कि जनजातीय क्षेत्रों से आने वाले खिलाड़ियों को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर की सुविधाएं सुनिश्चित की जाएं।

आयोजन को सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न कराने के उद्देश्य से संचालक द्वारा तकनीकी स्टाफ एवं खेल अधिकारियों की बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक में रेसलिंग चैंपियनशिप के दौरान नियमों का कड़ाई से पालन करने तथा खिलाड़ियों की सुविधाओं का विशेष ध्यान रखने के निर्देश दिए गए।

इस अवसर पर जिला खेल एवं युवा कल्याण अधिकारी श्री राम कुमार सिंह सहित विभाग के अन्य अधिकारी, कोच एवं कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।

रायपुर /मुख्यमंत्री श्री विष्णु देव साय 29 मार्च को बिलासपुर प्रवास के दौरान अरपा रिवर व्यू के समीप नवनिर्मित अटल परिसर में आयोजित समारोह में 26.93 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से विभिन्न निर्माण कार्यों का लोकार्पण एवं भूमिपूजन करेंगे।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा है कि सुशासन सरकार का उद्देश्य शहरों को आधुनिक अधोसंरचना और बेहतर नागरिक सुविधाओं से सुसज्जित करना है, ताकि विकास का लाभ समाज के प्रत्येक वर्ग तक पहुंचे।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय द्वारा लगभग 12.43 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से पूर्ण हुए कार्यों का लोकार्पण किया जाएगा। इनमें 50 लाख रुपए की लागत से निर्मित अटल परिसर, 73.22 लाख रुपए से निर्मित वार्ड क्रमांक 18 स्थित मराठी कन्या शाला भवन का प्रथम तल, 10 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से इमलीपारा में निर्मित व्यावसायिक कॉम्प्लेक्स तथा 1.20 करोड़ रुपए से निर्मित रक्षित आरक्षी केंद्र शामिल हैं। ये सभी कार्य शहर की शहरी अधोसंरचना को सुदृढ़ करने के साथ-साथ नागरिकों को बेहतर एवं आधुनिक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगे।

इसके साथ ही मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय लगभग 14.50 करोड़ रुपए की लागत के नए विकास कार्यों का भूमिपूजन भी करेंगे। इनमें 12.95 करोड़ रुपए की लागत से अरपा क्षेत्र में सड़क, नाला एवं पिचिंग निर्माण कार्य, 1.04 करोड़ रुपए से जरहाभाठा क्षेत्र में सड़क चौड़ीकरण एवं नवीनीकरण कार्य तथा उसलापुर क्षेत्र में भगवान बिरसा मुंडा की प्रतिमा एवं चबूतरा निर्माण कार्य शामिल हैं। इन परियोजनाओं से शहर के बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूती मिलेगी, यातायात व्यवस्था अधिक सुगम होगी और नागरिकों को बेहतर शहरी सुविधाएं प्राप्त होंगी। साथ ही यह सांस्कृतिक पहचान और जनजातीय गौरव को भी सशक्त करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम होगा।

Empowerment of hardworking labourers is the foundation of a developed Chhattisgarh — Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday transferred Rs 27.15 crore directly into the bank accounts of 79,340 construction workers and their family members through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) at a district-level workers’ conference held in Jashpur.

The programme was presided over by Labour Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan. On the occasion, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Dr. Rampratap Singh along with other public representatives were present.

“Despite the ongoing conflict in West Asia, there is no need for concern as fuel supplies in Chhattisgarh will remain stable due to India’s strong international relations. I urge citizens not to pay attention to rumours on social media or engage in unnecessary hoarding, as petrol, diesel, and LPG will continue to be available without interruption,” said Shri Sai.

During the programme, the chief Minister elaborated on 12 welfare schemes being implemented by the state and central governments for the benefit of workers. The registered workers received Rs 20,000 on childbirth, up to Rs 1.5 lakh for house construction, and Rs 1.5 lakh support for purchasing e-rickshaws to promote self-employment.

The government has also taken important steps in the field of education. If a worker’s child secures a place in the Top-10 in Class 10 or 12 board examinations, they receive an incentive of Rs 2 lakh. Earlier, 100 meritorious children were given education in private schools; this has now been increased to 200 seats to ensure quality education.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the Deendayal Bhumihin Krishi Mazdoor Kalyan Yojana, landless labourers receive Rs 10,000 annually, with over Rs 495 crore recently transferred directly to beneficiaries’ accounts. He highlighted that Direct Benefit Transfer through Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana accounts ensures full funds reach people, improving transparency. He added that the PF system is now universal, the minimum pension has been raised to Rs 1,000, and registered workers are receiving better free treatment through Employees’ State Insurance Corporation hospitals.

Concluding his address, Chief Minister Shri Sai said workers are the backbone of Chhattisgarh’s development, expressed respect for them, and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to their bright future.

Workers’ Conferences Being Organised Across the State — Labour Minister

Labour Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan said that, following the Chief Minister’s directions, workers’ conferences are being organised across the state so that workers can be informed about welfare schemes and receive maximum benefits. He said the state government is implementing several schemes including Rs 20,000 maternity assistance, housing assistance, scholarships, and incentives. Over the past two and a half years, more than Rs 800 crore has been directly transferred to workers’ accounts through DBT.

Under the Atal Shiksha Yojana, children of workers are receiving education in private schools, with the government aiming to ensure full benefits of schemes and improved living standards.

Board Chairman Dr. Rampratap Singh also informed workers about various welfare schemes and urged them to avail maximum benefits.

मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार का प्रयास है कि प्रशासनिक तंत्र को आधुनिक संसाधनों से सशक्त किया जाए, ताकि जनसेवा की गुणवत्ता और गति दोनों में निरंतर सुधार सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।

“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign spreads message of public sentiment and environmental conservation; over 400 saplings planted across nearly 2 acres

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the newly developed Matritva Van at the Jashpur Circuit House premises on March 28. Addressing the gathering, he stated that Matritva Van will not only emerge as a green space but also stand as a “powerful symbol of emotional bonding with nature” and evolve into a centre for environmental awareness in the coming years.

Developed by the Jashpur division, the Matritva Van spans nearly two acres and features plantation of more than 400 saplings of diverse species. The initiative reflects a unique blend of “environmental conservation and social sensitivity”. On this occasion, under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, public representatives planted saplings in the name of their mothers. This initiative conveys a meaningful message of strengthening the “emotional connection between family values and nature.”

In his address, the Chief Minister emphasised that a mother is the first teacher in one’s life and holds the highest place in society. Through the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, the government is making a sincere effort to link respect for mothers with nature in a “meaningful and socially enriching way.” He added that such initiatives will not only raise awareness about environmental conservation among future generations but also reinforce core social values. He further noted that initiatives like Matritva Van significantly expand green cover while nurturing a sense of “collective responsibility and environmental consciousness” within society.

Under the Matritva Van project, saplings with ecological and medicinal importance have been carefully selected. These include species such as Tecoma, Jarul, Sita Ashok, Gulmohar, Lakshmi Taru, Amla, Bija, Sindoor, Nagkesar, Arjun, and Jamun. These plants will help maintain ecological balance while also playing a vital role in “biodiversity conservation and future medicinal use.”

The primary objective of establishing Matritva Van is to enhance public awareness about environmental conservation, express respect for mothers through nature, and instil a sense of sensitivity and responsibility among the younger generation. The initiative reflects the vision of “Har Ghar Ek Ped, Har Ped Mein Maa Ki Mamta,” marking an important step towards sustainable development.

Public representatives and officials present at the event appreciated the initiative, describing it as “inspiring for both society and the environment". खेलो इंडिया ट्राइबल गेम्स 2026 में छत्तीसगढ़ को पहला स्वर्ण: मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने निकिता को दी बधाई

रायपुर 28 मार्च 2026/ खेलो इंडिया ट्राइबल गेम्स 2026 में छत्तीसगढ़ की बेटी निकिता ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए प्रदेश को पहला स्वर्ण पदक दिलाया है। निकिता ने महिला 77 किलोग्राम भारोत्तोलन स्पर्धा में 160 किलोग्राम वजन उठाकर यह उपलब्धि हासिल की और छत्तीसगढ़ का नाम राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर गौरवान्वित किया।
